The evolving healthcare system, with its increasing consolidation, administrative burdens, and financial pressures, has led to a decline in the number of physicians working in private practice, threatening the ability to deliver the personalized, high-quality care that women need.

The U.S. Women’s Health Alliance (USWHA) was formed in response to this challenge – to support the positive impact of private practice as a cornerstone of women’s healthcare and to ensure its growth and success in an ever-changing landscape.

This is our purpose – the sole reason why we exist.

USWHA is a member-based organization of private practices in women’s healthcare across the country, working together to advance access to high-quality, affordable, and sustainable care for women. Since its founding in 2012, USWHA has grown to represent a powerful network of over 5,800 providers—including more than     3,500 OB/GYNs—serving more than 8 million women each year in 37 states and Washington, D.C.

Vision, Mission & Values

Our Vision

At the heart of the U.S. Women’s Health Alliance is a steadfast vision on what we picture for our collective future: For private practices to thrive in a sustainable healthcare environment. This vision is not just aspirational – it is necessary. Women’s health depends on preserving and elevating health care that prioritizes personal connections, community trust, and excellence in outcomes.

Our Mission

Creating and maintaining a sustainable healthcare environment where private practices can thrive demands ongoing attention and action. To successfully achieve this, the U.S. Women’s Health Alliance strategically focuses on its mission:

To grow a collaborative community of physician-led practices and advocate for their interests, create opportunities for shared learning, and equip them with tools and resources to succeed.

We believe that by empowering our private-practicing Member Groups, we strengthen the very backbone of women’s healthcare and pave the way for a brighter future.
