The evolving healthcare system, with its increasing consolidation, administrative burdens, and financial pressures, has led to a decline in the number of physicians working in private practice, threatening the ability to deliver the personalized, high-quality care that women need.
The U.S. Women's Health Alliance (USWHA) was formed in response to this challenge – to support the positive impact of private practice as a cornerstone of women's healthcare and to ensure its growth and success in an ever-changing landscape.
This is our purpose – the sole reason why we exist.
USWHA is a member-based organization of private practices in women's healthcare across the country, working together to advance access to high-quality, affordable, and sustainable care for women. Since its founding in 2012, USWHA has grown to represent a powerful network of over 5,000 providers—including more than 3,300 OB/GYNs—serving more than 10 million women each year in 36 states and Washington, D.C.

USWHA champions the value of independent, physician-led care as essential to the future of women's health. We are driven by a shared belief in the strength of private practice and a commitment to helping it thrive. Through collaboration, advocacy, and access to innovative resources, we empower members to lead effectively, adapt to change, and deliver exceptional outcomes for patients and communities.
Our Vision
At the heart of the U.S. Women's Health Alliance is a steadfast vision on what we picture for our collective future: For private practices to thrive in a sustainable healthcare environment. This vision is not just aspirational – it is necessary. Women's health depends on preserving and elevating health care that prioritizes personal connections, community trust, and excellence in outcomes.
Our Mission
Creating and maintaining a sustainable healthcare environment where private practices can thrive demands ongoing attention and action. To successfully achieve this, the U.S. Women's Health Alliance strategically focuses on its mission:
To grow a collaborative community of physician-led practices and advocate for their interests, create opportunities for shared learning, and equip them with tools and resources to succeed.
We believe that by empowering our private-practicing Member Groups, we strengthen the very backbone of women's healthcare and pave the way for a brighter future.

Our Leadership
The U.S. Women's Health Alliance is guided by a dynamic leadership structure designed to align strategic vision with on-the-ground insights from private practice.
At the helm is the Executive Committee, a collaborative body composed of member physicians and practice administrators who provide high-level strategic guidance and ensure the organization remains closely connected to the evolving needs of independent, physician-led practices. Supporting this leadership is a dedicated Management Team responsible for executing both short-term initiatives and long-term goals and active, working Committees that drive progress in key areas. Together, this structure enables USWHA to lead with purpose, act with agility, and champion sustainable, high-quality women's healthcare nationwide.
